| Event Detail | WSPCHS has found on the purpose of providing the best and highest level of internal and surgical treatments to children born with congenital heart diseases from everywhere in the world regardless of their economic situations. In order to achieve the goal, conducting “Education, Research, Voluntary Social Service” is its mission. We are going to hold “Kyoto Symposium” as a regional meeting of the World Society for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Surgery (WSPCHS). The meeting dates are November 27 and 28, 2015 and the venue has decided at the Westin Miyako Kyoto at the foot of Higashiyama mountains, east of Kyoto. The theme of the meeting is decided as “Ventriculo-Arterial Connections in Right and Left Heart”. Even though biventricular outflow tract lesion is an important group of diseases in surgical treatment of congenital heart diseases, it is an area where a variety of problems remains to date, and development of the latest treatment such as tissue engineering is anticipated. We are going to take up diverse diseases such as tetralogy of Fallot, transposition of the great arteries, hypoplastic left heart syndrome and so on.
